About the Role
Matter Health is seeking an experienced Director of Facilities and Supply Chain Operations to lead the physical infrastructure and supply chain capabilities that support our operations and continued growth.
In this role, you will oversee Matter Health’s market and administrative offices while owning procurement, inventory, distribution, and field logistics. For each new market launch, you will ensure facilities open on schedule, teams are fully equipped to deliver care, and spending remains within approved budgets.
You will collaborate closely with Operations, Clinical Operations, Implementation, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and external partners to establish consistent standards, scalable systems, and reliable processes across markets.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who takes ownership, operates effectively in a growing environment, and can move seamlessly between strategy and execution. The role will begin as an individual contributor, with the opportunity to define, hire, and lead a facilities and supply chain team as Matter Health expands.
Responsibilities
Oversee Matter Health’s multi-site portfolio of market and administrative offices, including maintenance standards, preventive maintenance, and site remediation
Lead site selection, financial analysis, lease negotiations, and final site recommendations in partnership with Legal and Real Estate
Manage office buildouts and fit-outs, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality standards
Own facilities, procurement, and capital budgets, including spend management, variance reporting, and risk mitigation
Manage the end-to-end supply chain for medical supplies, clinical equipment, consumables, and other operational needs
Oversee cold-chain processes, point-of-care testing and lab logistics, durable medical equipment, medical waste, and controlled-substance handling
Establish reliable field-kitting and replenishment processes for clinicians providing care in homes and community settings
Set inventory levels, replenishment schedules, and accountability measures to reduce stockouts and ensure supply readiness
Lead vendor sourcing, pricing negotiations, contract recommendations, performance management, and vendor escalation or replacement
Implement and manage purchasing or ERP, inventory-management, and facilities-management systems across markets
Coordinate physical infrastructure and supply readiness for new-market launches, establishing timelines and escalating risks early
Ensure facilities and supply chain operations comply with applicable healthcare, safety, life-safety, ADA, and regulatory requirements
Develop and implement building and field-staff safety programs, including training, rollout, and ongoing execution
Maintain and annually test emergency-preparedness and business-continuity plans for facilities and critical supply lines
Drive year-over-year cost savings through sourcing strategy, standardization, process improvement, and spend analysis
Define and build the facilities and supply chain team as the organization’s market portfolio grows
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, facilities, engineering, operations, business, healthcare administration, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
10–12+ years of progressive experience across facilities and supply chain operations
Demonstrated experience owning a multi-site facilities portfolio at the Director level or equivalent
Experience with site selection, lease negotiations, and buildout delivery across multiple states
Supply chain and procurement leadership experience spanning sourcing, vendor management, inventory, and distribution
Experience independently managing complex projects, budgets, vendors, and operational timelines from start to finish
Hands-on experience implementing or administering purchasing or ERP, inventory-management, and facilities-management systems
Strong sourcing, vendor-management, contract-negotiation, and financial-analysis skills
Prior experience leading a team, with the interest and ability to build a new function and team from the ground up
Emergency-preparedness and business-continuity planning experience in healthcare or another regulated environment
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing environment with evolving priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare clinical supply chain experience involving cold chain, lab logistics, durable medical equipment, medical waste, or controlled substances
Experience establishing a procurement platform or supply chain function for the first time
Experience supporting physical infrastructure and supply readiness for new locations or market launches
Familiarity with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or in-home and community-based care
Experience overseeing facilities and supply chain operations across multiple markets or states
Process-improvement, standardization, or workflow-optimization experience
