The Job

We're looking for a Deployment Engineer to help us scale deployments of Teton across hospitals and care facilities.

You'll be part of the Engineering team, working at the intersection of software, infrastructure, and customer deployments. Working closely with our Customer Success and Deployment teams, you'll help customers get up and running by solving technical deployment challenges, working with customer IT teams, troubleshooting Linux systems and networking, and supporting complex deployments from start to finish.

At the same time, you'll build the software, tooling, and workflows that make deployments more scalable. We believe the best deployment tools are built by engineers who experience deployments firsthand. By being close to our operational challenges, you'll identify bottlenecks, automate repetitive work, and build internal tools that make future deployments faster, more reliable, and easier for both customers and our internal teams.

A key part of the role is helping us deploy our growing fleet of Linux-based edge devices. You'll work on everything from configuring devices and integrating them into customer infrastructure to improving the deployment experience through better tooling, diagnostics, and automation.

You'll collaborate closely with engineers across backend, infrastructure, mobile, and machine learning to improve the deployment platform, solve complex technical problems, and build the internal systems that enable Teton to scale.

You will work on

Supporting Customer Success and Deployment teams during customer rollouts and complex technical issues

Working directly with customer IT teams to integrate Teton into existing infrastructure

Troubleshooting Linux, networking, VPNs, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues

Building internal tools and automation that simplify deployments and eliminate manual work

Developing tooling for configuring, provisioning, and troubleshooting Linux-based edge devices

Improving deployment workflows, diagnostics, and operational processes

Identifying recurring deployment challenges and turning them into engineering solutions

Occasionally traveling to customer sites to support complex deployments

Collaborating with engineers across the company to improve the product, deployment platform, and internal tooling

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience writing production-quality code

Comfortable working in Linux environments and debugging systems from the command line

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and Wi-Fi

Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a systematic approach to problem solving

A service-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to help others succeed

Comfortable supporting non-technical teams and working directly with customers and IT departments

Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Curious, pragmatic, and excited to work across many parts of a modern software stack

Nice to have

Experience with IoT or edge devices

Experience building internal tools and operational workflows

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud infrastructure

Experience in healthcare or other operationally complex environments
