About Us

We're Queue, the world's first fully autonomous robotic pharmacy. We go from sealed wholesale bottles to filled, verified prescription vials with zero human involvement.

We built Queue because no one should ever have to wait in line for the medicines they need. One in three US pharmacies has shut down. Pharmacists are overworked to a breaking point. And patients are paying the price. Queue fixes that. Pharmacists get to practice pharmacy again — counseling patients, catching interactions, doing the work only they can do. And patients get their prescriptions in 60 seconds or less, any time, anywhere.

We’re backed by over $18 million from Alleycorp, Riot Ventures, Ubiquity Ventures, House Capital, and others who believe the pharmacy system is broken and that robotics can fix it. Queue was founded by Nick Desai (6x founder, previously CEO of Heal) and Joshua Liu (previously Tesla, Waymo, and Zipline).

About the role

Lead the electrical engineering design, development, and validation of power, control, motion, and sensing subsystems in our devices

Define the electrical architecture and establish component selection standards that balance reliability, cost, and regulatory compliance for a pharmaceutical environment

Drive schematic and PCB layout reviews, ensuring designs meet safety, EMC, and relevant medical quality standards before release to manufacturing

Partner with the firmware, software, and mechanical engineering leads to align on interface specifications, data handling, signal routing, wire harness definition, and integration timelines across disciplines

Spearhead the testing strategy to ensure all validation and verification activities provide sufficient coverage of the product features and expected failure recovery modes Required

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years leading a team of electrical engineers

Track record of shipping complex electromechanical products from concept through mass production, with ownership of major electrical subsystems

Deep expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and PCB layout, with the ability to set technical direction for the team

Experience balancing speed of development with establishing engineering processes such as design reviews, test specifications, and DFM checkpoints

Ability to recruit, develop, and mentor electrical engineers while maintaining hands-on involvement in critical design work

Previous successful partnerships with mechanical, software, and product teams via excellent cross-functional communication skills

Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to safety-critical or medical-adjacent products (e.g., UL, EMC, IEC standards)
