Qumulo's cloud data platform manages exabytes of the world's most demanding data, unifying files, objects, and every workload across edge, core, and cloud.

About the Role:

Qumulo ships fast, with many new releases throughout the year, and a lot has to line up to make that happen: API work, dependent components from multiple teams, 3rd party integrations, metrics, sales, marketing, and even pricing all depend on each other.

You'll own the cross-functional picture: who's building what, what depends on what, and where things are slipping before they become a problem. A big part of the job is working with our cloud and technology partners to line up timelines and hold external commitments on track. You'll work across engineering, product, and go-to-market in two-week sprints, with the standing to push back when an estimate doesn't add up.

As a Technical Program Manager at Qumulo, you will:

Track deliverables and dependencies across engineering, product, pricing, metrics, and marketing, and keep that cross-functional picture current

Spot slips early, push on soft estimates, and tell a real delay from wishful thinking

Coordinate with cloud and technology partners on timing and availability, and line up their commitments with our roadmap

Keep epics, stories, and Jira honest and current so everyone works from the same plan

Surface the right tradeoffs to engineering leaders when timelines collide, rather than leaving teams to sort it out one conversation at a time

Bring structure and ownership to a function that hasn't had a dedicated owner before

Our ideal TPM will have:

Experience running highly technical software and hardware programs with heavy cross-functional dependencies

Familiarity with modern scrum and agile practices

A strong anti-BS instinct, with enough technical depth to know when an estimate or a "that's hard" doesn't add up

Background in cloud or storage, and a proven ability to pick up a complex technical domain quickly

A genuine hunger to learn, and comfort using modern AI tools to get up to speed on unfamiliar systems fast

Clear, direct communication with engineers and external partners alike

The willingness to hold people to their commitments and chase down what's slipping

The annual pay range for the role is USD $175,000 - $225,000. Individual pay depends on various factors, such as role level, relevant experience, and skills.

Benefits & Perks:

Pre-IPO stock options

Flexible time-off policy

HSA and PPO health insurance options

Dental and Vision insurance

401(k) plan

Choice of an ORCA card or parking subsidy
